Campsite Savignano Mare

As can be gathered from its name, this is part of the Municipality of Savignano and is the sandy strip to the right of the mouth of the Rubicon River, before the beach of Gatteo a Mare. It is probably one of the smallest beaches in the world and for this reason, would be worthy of an entry in the “Guinness Book of World Records”.

In any case, it is a well-equipped beach, with trees and other greenery behind it by which it is connected to a campsite. It is popular with both Italian and foreign tourists, especially those from northern Europe.

It spans about 180 metres of coastline and boasts fine, golden sand. It has been part of the Municipality of Savignano for several centuries, an “outlet to the sea” which the people of the town have always been keen to maintain.
