Roaring engines

Have you ever wondered why some of the world’s greatest MotoGP champion riders, past and present, are from Romagna? It’s simple: in this region, from an early age, kids grow up on a diet of motorbikes and piadina - a love that shows no sign of fading.

San Marino and Riviera of Rimini Grand Prix, Misano Adriatico

Like many others, Valentino Rossi took his first ‘steps’ in motor racing on the tracks of Misano World Circuit. Following upgrading in 2007, today the racetrack in Misano, which since 2012 has been named in memory of the unforgettable Marco Simoncelli, has become a permanent feature of the MotoGP calendar. Each year, the world’s fastest riders deal with dramatic events, difficult turns and risky bends.
